Matthew Ung

Treasurer

Matthew A. Ung, a lifetime resident of Woodbury County, was elected to the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors November 4, 2014, and was sworn in November 10, 2014, to fill out the remainder of a term in addition to his four-year term. He continues to serve as the District 4 Woodbury County Supervisor. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Creighton University along with a Master of Theology degree, and has over 15 years’ experience in healthcare administration. He has been married to his wife Nheylin since 2011, and together they have two daughters, Charlotte and Madeline.

His focuses are to champion tax relief, prioritize essential functions of government, like infrastructure, and contribute to long-term economic planning and development. Matthew believes county residents want a customer-oriented Board of Supervisors that is transparent, responsive, and accountable.

Committees Serving On: Courthouse & Public Building Security Committee, Health & Wellness Committee, Loess Hills Alliance, Loess Hills Development and Conservation Authority, Loess Hills Scenic Byway, Policy Review Committee, and Woodbury County Information & Communication Commission (WCICC).
