Ella serves as Director of Educational Operations, where she supports the mission of the school and walks alongside its students. Having grown up at Cornerstone World Outreach as the eldest daughter of Rev. Cary Gordon, the founder of Peacemakers Institute, Ella brings a lifelong familiarity with its heart and values to her leadership. After successfully leading a separate Bible college, she joined the staff at Cornerstone World Outreach, where she now oversees the ministry’s many departments of education.

Both her classical Christian schooling background and post-secondary studies in teaching serve her in every manner of life, equipping her to serve the church community in multiple capacities: as Head of Communications for the youth department, a leader on the worship team, and a contributor in various roles within the children’s ministry.

One of Ella’s greatest loves is music. As a child, she sat on the front pew watching her father lead worship. He often sang her to sleep with songs like “Jesus, There’s Just Something About That Name.” At sixteen, she began leading worship alongside him, and now stands to her father’s left, as they lead side by side for an audience of One.

Overcoming her own health complications as a young adult gave Ella a passion for nutrition, health, and fitness, along with compassion for the sick and hurting. She continues to pursue this through study, including naturopathic medicine, hoping one day to earn her doctorate — believing natural, root-cause medicine is simply another way to serve the body of Christ and bring glory to the first and greatest Physician of all.

It is my aim in life, my mission, and my privilege to sit as Mary once did, but then my duty and my undeniable responsibility to rise up and do as Martha. The taking of our seat before Him must become the means by which we are compelled to stand.”
